Here's the deal. It's pretty simple. I'm dying to have an iPhone. I live in China, all they have here are cheap rip-offs. I watch diggnation, they talk about it and I covet.
Actually about two weeks ago a guy from the states came over to visit and he brought his iPhone and let me fiddle with it briefly. I had no idea. I made a huge mistake. I told everyone that a software keyboard would never work, and now I hear otherwise. I'm a mac owner (as of a little more than a year ago, I bought my macbook the day they came out), and my microsoft pda-phone cant hold a candle to the iphone. I may need to hang on to it until someone figures out chinese, but it cant be far off...
I'm american, from colorado, just so thats clear. I live here, I study here, but my heart is there. with you. with the iphone. HELP! PLEASE!
There are two ways I would like help. First of all, there is no way I could convince the wife to let me spend the money on an iphone. So please give via my paypal account.
Second, help those who are working hard to develop for the iPhone. If you bring programming expertise, figure out how I can someday use it on my chinese network. They have 3g here, and I could certainly use the 2.5g.... but I need everything to work, I know they've hacked in leaps and bounds... and I love it.
But I covet. And that may be wrong. But help a guy out. PLEASE! I'll keep you informed on the amount raised...
